Understanding Specialties
Abuse~ is the improper usage or treatment of a thing, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, assault, violation, rape, unjust practices, crimes, or other types of aggression.
Addiction~ the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity.
Anxiety~ is the mind and body's reaction to stressful, dangerous, or unfamiliar situations. It's the sense of uneasiness, distress, or dread you feel before a significant event.
Anger Management~ is a psycho-therapeutic program for anger prevention and control. It has been described as deploying anger successfully. Anger is frequently a result of frustration, or of feeling blocked or thwarted from something the subject feels is important. Anger can also be a defensive response to underlying fear or feelings of vulnerability or powerlessness. Anger management programs consider anger to be a motivation caused by an identifiable reason which can be logically analyzed and addressed.
Career counseling~ is a type of advice-giving and support provided by career counselors to their clients, to help the clients manage their journey through life, learning and work changes (career).
Depression~ is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems.
Domestic Violence~ is violence or other abuse that occurs in a domestic setting, such as in a marriage or cohabitation. Domestic violence is often used as a synonym for intimate partner violence.
Grief/Loss~ is the response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or some living thing that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed.
PTSD~ A mental health condition that develops following a traumatic event characterized by intrusive thoughts about the incident, recurrent distress/anxiety, flashback and avoidance of similar situations.
Self Love~ defined as "love of self" or "regard for one's own happiness or advantage", has been conceptualized both as a basic human necessity.
Social Anxiety~ A variety of phobic disorders characterized by a fear of being observed by others.
Spirituality~ Spirituality is a much deeper belief in something greater than us and faith in life itself.
Stress Management ~a method of limiting stress and its effects by learning ways of behaving and thinking that reduce it.
Substance Abuse~ also called substance use disorder, is a disease that affects a person's brain and behavior and leads to an inability to control the use of a legal or illegal drug or medication.

Trauma~ a deeply distressing or disturbing experience.
